Check two menus, not one
Audio and subtitles are separate settings. Open the language or caption menu in the video player and confirm both before beginning. The original language shown on a MovieCrumbs title page identifies the production; it is not a promise of every dubbed or captioned edition.
When the language changes
Look for a remembered default or a different audio track in the player. If you opened another service or edition, it may offer a different set of languages. Reloading the catalog does not change the player's track selection. Compare another current offer if the language you need is not present.
Make captions comfortable
Where supported, adjust size, contrast, or background so the text remains readable against bright and dark scenes. Captions with sound descriptions can be more useful than dialogue-only subtitles for some viewers. Test a few lines on the screen you will actually use.
If words arrive early or late
A subtitle-delay control may help when the player provides one. Otherwise try another available track or report the mismatch to that service. Check whether you selected the intended cut or episode. Similar titles and versions can help identify the production before you troubleshoot.
